Uncertainty in life is the only certainty. Why are we here? Where are we going? Is there anyone up there running the show? Things eternally asked, but never really answered. If we try to grasp the big picture, yearn to be reassured about life, we find only despair at the fact that everything is uncertain. The only true peace we can find is in that fleeting moment in time, when you stare into another's soul and know that they love you, and you love them. In that single instant, all you know is the reassuring love, and everything seems right in the world, and anything is possible. The whole world can swirl around you, and try to destroy, but for that one moment, in that union of souls, you are immortal, you are a righteous child of God, and nothing in the world can harm you.
Those moments are only fleeting. But in them, is the only true peace. Be it the parent nurturing the child, the embrace of your true love, or those times when you stand with God and feel his presence with every cell of your being. Those are our anchors in the storm of life. A brief reprieve to give us the strength to fight on. Look for those and cherish them. I've found mine :-).
On a related note, I got engaged to my girl Lindsi, in september.

A random thought
You ever notice how all movies, books, or any type of work of fiction, must always have some sort of conflict; something that needs to be resolved? You ever wonder why that is? It's because without it the story would just be a description of people sitting around doing nothing. There must be a point to the story to keep our interest. Just like life. People always complain about the hurdles they face in life. Ya, things can suck, and life is a bitch, but if you had no challenges in your life, your life would be a boring story that no one would care to hear. Just as a movie has no "point" without a conflict to resolve, life would have no point if it were also without conflict. The struggle to overcome our problems makes us who we are. Anyone can be nice when things are easy for them. It's in the heat of battle that our true selves shine through. Are you the valiant hero who will save others while the building burns down around you, or are you the coward who runs without even trying to help others because you're busy saving your own ass. Struggles show what we really are, and make us become more than we were, if we have the resolve to fight them.
I think that maybe... just maybe... that's why we're here. To make something of ourselves for whatever comes after. Plus, just think of God as the ultimate movie goer. If you just want the world handed to you, and think everything should revolve around you, and hate any form of challenge or struggle in your life, then maybe God thinks your life isn't worth watching either. Just another crappy movie, with no "point".

The history of oil
This is an interesting video on the true reason there was a world war 1 as well as the current iraq war. I never heard a lot of this stuff. It's told by a not so funny british comedian, but the information is good food for though. It's 45 mintues long, so take a little time and watch it. It'll make you think at the very least.

War Pigs
Well it looks like they're getting us ready for the draft. Bush keeps saying how we need to increase the military but they don't see how they can do it. Eventually he'll come out and say that there is no choice but to draft people. The selective service just announced that they're going to test the machinery of the draft to make sure that it works. Google it and see. His kids will still be partying of course. Only the peasants will be forced to fight, not the "royalty". Pisses me off. First I think that there should be no draft ever, period. Our government should have no right to force anyone to fight. If we ever actually need to fight a war, like if we're being invaded, then the people of this Country will volunteer to fight. Just like after 9/11.
But since the power mad politicians won't give up the right to force the poor to fight in wars so that they can advance their political agendas, I'd like to see these rules in force. If they're is a draft, EVERY single child of EVERY politician is automatically drafted. They're the first ones. Also, since the military will take new recruits, even in their 30's, all politicians 40 and below, are also instantly drafted. And they all have to be deployed into combat. If they think it's vital to fight a war that they will rob someone else of their freedom and force them to fight, then those same damn politicians who voted for it, and their family should be the first ones into battle. Let's see how long the draft lasts then. I'm tired of these fucking politicians acting like their above everyone else. That they know better than we do, and we should just shut up and obey.
And in case you're wondering, I am not eligible for the draft, because I'm over the age. My outrage is not out of fear for myself. I am outraged at dictatorial, theocratic government that is now taking shape. As I've said before, have your escape plan ready.

Exhibit A: John Kerry
Well, libertarians and conservatives have been saying that democrats/liberals think they are the intellectual elite, and better than everyone else for a while now. John Kerry just proved that by accidentally saying what he really meant. Hope this opens some eyes out there. Republicans suck too, jsut in a slightly different area. They all think they should rule us like royalty. Fuck them all.
Time for Libertarians to run the show.

Get over the fucking number already!
Yes people, it's 6-6-6. BFD! I cannot believe how many people I've heard talking about this date as if it means something. Ignoring the fact that the bible is a bunch of made up fantasy anyway, it makes no reference to any date being significant. The six hundred three score and six, in reveleations was "the number of his name," which, if you know anything about the big belief in numerology back then, refers to the numerical value of the person's name, whom would be the beast. Most believe it was Nero, I don't really know or care. It just shows how superstitious and gullible most christians are. This will be the 20th time the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year has occured since jesus died, the 21st if you count from his birth, and no anti-christ or apocolyopse happened on the previous ones. It happens every century people. It's the second time, if you want to count only the 6th year of a new millenium. Or 3rd if you count from his birth again. Why god or the devil would care so much about calendar dates that we arbitrarily made up is beyond me. If we numbered the months more evenly, this would be a different date. Wow, we could control the anti-christ by simply changing the day of the month.
Ok, I think that rant's over. If you are in anyway afraid of this date, please don't raise kids or reproduce. You need counseling.
Of course, if you want to have fun freaking out low-intellect christians, walk into a place and just mention the date, and watch their eyes light up. I'm so glad these people are trying to force their beliefs on us through the government now, aren't you?

V for Vendetta. A damn good movie
I just saw the movie "V for Vendetta" with my friend Steve. Fucking Awesome! Not only was it a good movie, but the lessons in it are needed by everyone. I especially like the line "people should not fear their governments, governments should fear their people." Definitely gives a hint of the Libertarian slant on things. The stupidity of gun control laws are shown in one scene where people are going to stand up to an army, and one person asks what they think will happen, and this person says "what usually happens when people without guns stand up to people with guns." This movie will really make you think about our current political situation. It's not far-fetched. Go see it.

The poor wasted Gov't Money? How shocking... NOT
If you've been keeping tabs, it seems the katrina "victims" (or as I like to call them, people who didn't get out of the way even though they had a few days advance warning) have been squandering the FEMA money that WE were forced to pay for. There are accounts of the "victims" spending the emergency money on strippers, traffic tickets, and other such "vital" needs. You have a whole town full of welfare people, who blame everyone else for their lives, and think they are entitled to other peoples' money, and when they are given even more money they blow it, and some people are surprised.
It's politically incorrect to say that people are poor because of their own choices, but it's true. Sure people can fall on hard times and be broke, but it's what you do with it afterwards that makes the difference between the poor and everyone else. I've been broke, and I stopped spending money on things I didn't need, and tried to save money when I could. And when it got asked for help from family, which I paid back when I got on my feet again. The poor are just those who give up and then expect everyone else to take care of them.
The welfare people believe they are entitled to everyone else's money. This is in part because they were programmed to believe this by our politicians. In fact, all government handouts are called entitlements. It's the politicians way of making their consitiuents believe they are owed the money from the evil oppressors (ie. people that work and take care of themselves). Every election you hear both ends of the ruling political party (yes I said one party, not two. Dem's and Rep's are just ends of the same party), accuse the other one of taking money away from the "deserving" poor. If you ever listen to what they are really saying, and reword into everyday language, they are realy saying, "You all are too stupid to take care of yourselves. Trust in me to take the smart people's money away form them and use it to take care of you, like my own babies."
So what do we have to show for this election strategy? A society where a majority of its citizens believe that earning your own money is bad, and that it's the federal government's role to take care of every need of every person.
200 years goes by so fast, doesn't it? Read my earlier posts if you don't know what I'm referring to. It's time to start the whole damn thing over again. Check out the Freestate Project if you want a possible exit strategy.

The media pussies and the "peace loving" muslims
I keep hearing about how islam is a religion of peace, and that there's just a few bad apples out there. Have you seen the riots lately over a cartoon? Ya, we should be able to coexist with them just fine *rolls eyes*. And the kicker is how the media is bowing to these psychotic demonstrators. CNN is not posting any pictures of the cartoons "out of respect for Islam" in this article here. And yet whenever any christians get mad over art that defames christianity, the media just goes gaga to show it as much as they can. Check out this article from '99 when a picture of the virgin mary covered in elephant dung angered some people. They showed the picture in the article. Yet we can't offend the muslims. What the hell? They're seems to be a big bias against the middle kid of "The Book."
Don't get me wrong, I don't like any of the religions. They're all full of crap, and mainly used as tools to control people. But I'm fair about it. Why treat the latest barbaric religion as special, and not ofend them but to hell with the others? Republicans would most likely say it's because the "big media" is anti-christian and will do anything to bring it down. But if that were true, why would they be sponsoring an even more dogmatic and controlling religion (Islam) that would kill those very same reporters because they ate pork once. It doesn't make sense to me to trade a measurably opressive religion that has grown out of it's "kill 'em all" phase (The crusades, dark ages, etc) and will now at least let you live if you disagree with it, for one that is now throwing a global temper tantrum and will kill all people who don't strictly conform with their beliefs.
I think it may come down to something simpler, more basic. I think the media is scared shitless of the muslims because they know they're a bunch of blood lusting control freaks. But they can't say that because it would be politically incorrect, and because admitting that that part of the world might have a few screws loose just might make President Bush seem a little more sensible. I'm not a big fan of Bush either, but I like it when he kills the people that want to kill me. I'm all for that. But the anti-bush crowd has to make it seem like Bush is the psycho one, not the wonderful muslims. So they have to somehow make the global riots over a fucking cartoon seem not so bad.
I can't wait to get in there and mix it up. What fun.

The march to totalitarianism continues
Read the article at that link. Now the government can make secret laws, charge you with violating it, and then not have to show you the law, because it's a secret. Stalin would be proud.
Remember, the average lifespan of any free republic is 200 years. After that they breakdown into dictatorships. We're over 200 years. The dictatorship is growing every day. Get ready people.

Is it 2006 or 1984?
Ok, I may be a bit late on this subject but I've been busy so there. Does anyone else think our government is moving closed and closer to big brother? There using terrorism as an excuse to grab all the power they can. It might be time for another revolution. We're over due, and it's time to remind the government where the power comes from. Us.
I find it interesting that people will use tired old arguments like "liberties don't matter if we're all dead." The gist being that it's ok to take away our civil liberties if it will save lives. These are usually the same people who will then say that it is ok for our soldiers to die to defend our freedoms. Now I do agree with that. War is sometimes necessary. But what I don't get is why people will say that it's ok for soldiers to die to defend our freedom, but it's not ok for us to die to live our freedom.
Do you get that? If you are one of those that say it's ok to take away our freedoms if it will save your life, then you are saying that you are better than the soldiers we send to die. Sure it's ok for them to die to give you freedom, but if your life is jeopardy, then go ahead and take those freedoms away. Why is it ok for someone to die to protect something, then turn around and give up the very thing someone just died to give you, in order that you don't die? You're saying that you're life is more important. If living your freedoms isn't worth dying for, then your freedoms aren't worth someone else dying for. You're saying that someone else can die in your name, but you sure as hell aren't going to.
When I hear the stupid argument, that if we don't let the government spy on everyone, and basically do whatever they want, then people could die in a terrorist attack, I can't help but wonder why these same people will then support a war in order to secure those same liberties they just gave up. Is it worth risking death in order to live in a society that protects our rights? Is living up to the standards we set in the constitution, worth being vulnerable to our enemies? Hell yes! If you let the government take away freedom in ourder to protect your life, then it should never be worth it for anyone to die in order to secure that freedom. If any of us are worth dying to protect our way of life, then all of us are worth dying in order to live that way of life.
Stop being pussies. Lets bitch slap the government back under control, and out of our damn lives. If I die in an attack because the government wasn't allowed to spy on everyone then so be it. At least I will have died living a free life. Stop letting the excuse of terrorism turn this country into the type of totalitarian dictatorship this counrty was founded to get away from.
That's all for now.

I thought this was a funny video. They tried to demolish a building in Sioux Falls, SD, and it didn't quite go as planned. Check it out. It's cool.

King Kong : A serious question
I've seen the trailer for the new King Kong movie coming out December 14th I think. It looks good. But a question occured to me. If you found an island that had a giant ape, and dinosaurs on it; and could only bring back one animal; why would you bring back the ape instead of the dinosaur?
Think about it. Apes exist now. So King Kong is really just a bigger version of something that already exists. Impressive yes, but not history changing. He could just have a hormone problem for all we know. But a dinosaur; they don't exist anymore. So if you found one, like the T-rex kong fights in the trailer, wouldn't it be a more earth-shaking event to bring back the dinosaur? Finding something that isn't supposed to exist anymore, would be much more impressive than finding a bigger version of something we've already seen. Just my thoughts.

Another entitlement program
Well yesterday (thh 15th), the new medicare prescription drug program started. Another entitlement that will help accelerate this counrty's decline into bankruptcy. The intital cost estimate was 300 billion dollars over 10 years. On the very day it STARTED, the estimate is now 600 billion for the same period. Before it even gets going, it's already doubled. When will people learn that our government has become little more than a vote buying machine. Politicians want to give away as much of other people's money as they can so people will vote for them. The average american, it seems, has become a socialist, dependent on the government to give them everything they want. The era of earning your own living and being responsible for yourself is fast waning. The socialist state is coming soon, leading to the collapse of our republic, and it's dissolution into sud dictatoships.
Think I'm being paranoid? I hope so, but unfortunately histroy says otherwise. The average age of any republic is 200 years. We're a little over that. After 200 years, all previous republics, turned into entitlement prograas. The citizens started electing people based on what they promised to give them. The people learned that they could take other people's things from them by voting for the right person. The city-states of ancient Greece and even the roman empire are examples. The gouging of the "haves" to give to the "gimmes" weakens the republic until it can no longer support itself. Tradiaionally, after the death of each repulic, it would break up into smaller dictatoships. We are following a similar course to those that came before. It looks liek it's too late to stop it. The average person now, has it engrained in their head that the goverment is supposed to give them whatever they want. And that if someone else has more than them, the government should take it away and give it to them. Karl Marx would be proud.
Have your escape plan ready folks. When the government stops pretending to be free and openly exalts its socialist self, it's time to get the f#%k out.

Jessica Alba.... MMMMMM
I just saw the movie with my good friend Steve. I shall hence forth think of it as the Jesscia Alba movie. The movie itself was alright, but nothing will compare to the glorious views of Jesssica Alba's but in a very skimpy bikini underwater. It rode up on her and was tight like her own skin. AND THEY SHOWED CLOSE UPS!!!
All I can say is thank you to the powers that be. When the screenshots come out, I'll make them a wallpaper or something.
Farewell, faithful fans.
